How to set up billing, features, postal rates, notes, and troubleshooting tips for Evri from ShipStation.

Evri from ShipStation is a shipping carrier included with your ShipStation account that delivers from and within the UK Mainland countries (England, Wales, and Scotland) and Northern Ireland. Our Evri rates for UK Mainland shipments range from £2.42 - £7.35, compared to the Royal Mail retail rates that range from £2.85 - £28.55.

Evri from ShipStation currently supports Domestic Drop-Off services only. To locate an Evri drop-off location near you, please use the Evri ParcelShop Finder.

To start creating labels for Evri from ShipStation, simply add your preferred billing method to ShipStation!

Evri from ShipStation Requirements

  • Activate ShipStation Carriers by adding your payment method.

    You'll be prompted to enter your payment method the first time you attempt to create a label with any ShipStation Carrier, or you can add in advance in either your Carrier settings or Payments & Subscription settings.

  • Add funds to your ShipStation Balance.

    All ShipStation Carrier labels are purchased using the funds in your ShipStation Balance. The first time you add your payment method, you'll be prompted to add funds so you can begin purchasing labels right away.

  • Weight and dimensions are required for all Evri shipments.

  • Evri requires both a first name and last name in the Ship To and Ship From addresses.

Activate ShipStation Carriers

Activating ShipStation Carriers requires adding your label payment method and agreeing to the carriers' Terms of Service. Once activated, you'll have access to all of the carriers available for your account's country.

To activate ShipStation Carriers:

  1. Click the Get Started button.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your billing details, agree to the terms and conditions, and finish the setup.

Once completed, you can add funds to your ShipStation Balance and create labels with ShipStation Carriers.

Enable Auto-Funding For a Seamless Experience

We recommend enabling auto-funding to ensure your balance always has the funds for your label purchase needs.

Adding New ShipStation Carriers

ShipStation will sometimes add new carriers to the ShipStation Carriers roster! If you have already activated ShipStation Carriers and would like to start using the new carrier's services, you just need to update your ShipStation Carriers settings and agree to the new carrier's Terms of Service.

Go to Settings > Shipping > Carriers and click the Update button.

Agree to the new carrier's terms and you're done! You can immediately start creating labels with the new carrier.

Description

Courier Collection: Schedule Pickup

You can create a label using either of Evri’s Courier Collection services (Evri Domestic or Evri Postable) available in ShipStation. Once you create a label, we automatically send a pickup request to Evri for the following business day. The collection cost will be included in the label fee.

To change or cancel Courier Collection requests, you must contact ShipStation support.

The cutoff time for collection is just past midnight. For example, if you need service for tomorrow, the latest time you can submit the collection request is by 00:59 AM on 25/05/23.

Postable

"Postable" means anything that can fit into a letterbox, such as large letters, books, or small toys.

Residential and workplace deliveries of Postable packages do not require a person to receive the package.

Items that can be sent as Postable may be:

  • Up to 23cm wide

  • Up to 35cm long

  • Between 1-3cm deep

  • Weigh between 250 g - 1 kg

Return Labels

Evri from ShipStation supports the creation of domestic return labels for shipments from UK Mainland to UK Mainland countries (England, Wales, and Scotland), or for shipments from Northern Ireland, the Highlands, or Islands to the UK Mainland.

No returns for Northern Ireland

Currently, shipments to Northern Ireland from the UK Mainland are not eligible for return services using Evri.

Visit the ParcelShop Finder on the Evri website to locate your closest drop-off location.

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

The carrier can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

When tracking is available, ShipStation will automatically track the shipment status and update the tracking status on the Shipments tab. This feature allows for other advanced ShipStation features like delayed notifications and the Branded Tracking Page.

ShipStation can close the day's shipments for the carrier and submit the manifest electronically. The End of Day process may be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available when submitted electronically - see End of Day (PDF).

ShipStation can print information on the label as a label message (configure in Label Document Options). The carrier may or may not support all 3 label message fields and label messages may not be available for all services supported by this carrier.

This carrier can be used to create multi-package shipments, where multiple labels are created for a single shipment and the individual packages are linked together in a single shipment record with a master tracking number.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Items shipped with Evri from ShipStation do not include coverage for loss or damage. If you wish to add insurance, we recommend using Total Protection by Xcover to protect your shipments.

Additional Details for Evri from ShipStation

  • The Ship From Location used to create Evri labels must be in the UK Mainland (England, Wales, or Scotland).

  • Custom label messages and branding are not available for Evri shipping labels. The Order Number will be printed on the label in the Reference field.

  • Carrier insurance is not available for Evri from ShipStation shipments. If you'd like to add insurance to your shipments, you must purchase it from a third party.

  • International shipments are not available for shipments created using Evri from ShipStation. If you would like to use Evri for international shipping, you'll need to connect a corporate Evri account to ShipStation instead.

  • Evri labels cannot be voided in ShipStation.

Post-Shipping Charges

Certain courier-imposed fees may be assessed after you create a label and dispatch the parcel. 

These fees include, but are not limited to:

  • Excess weight surcharges

  • Out-of-area surcharges

  • Courier pickup-up surcharges

These fees are assessed by the courier and reported back to ShipStation. Once ShipStation has received notification of these charges, they will be billed to the credit card you set up for carrier fees.
