Details about using Evri (formerly Hermes) via ShipStation: How to set up billing, features, postal rates, notes, and troubleshooting tips.
Evri (formerly Hermes) delivers from and within the UK Mainland countries (England, Wales, and Scotland) and Northern Ireland.
Our Evri rates for UK Mainland shipments range from £2.42 - £7.35, compared to the Royal Mail retail rates that range from £2.85 - £28.55.
Evri via ShipStation Carrier Services currently supports Domestic Drop-Off services only. To locate an Evri drop-off location near you, please use the Evri ParcelShop Finder.
ShipStation Carrier Services is automatically added to your ShipStation account upon creation, but you'll need to provide billing information before you can create any labels and add insurance to your shipments.
You'll be prompted to add your billing information the first time you attempt to create a label, or you can follow the steps below to add the billing information in advance:

Click the Setup up Carriers button for ShipStation Carrier Services.

Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your billing information and agree to terms and conditions.
This billing information will be shared among any carrier options listed under ShipStation Carrier Services and for Total Shipping Protection coverage costs. Charges from ShipStation Carrier Services will appear on your credit card reports with the description “ShipStation Carrier Services".
Post-Billed Charges
Certain courier-imposed fees may be assessed after you create a label and dispatch the parcel.
These fees include, but are not limited to:

Excess weight surcharges

Out of area surcharges

Courier pickup-up surcharges
These fees are assessed by the courier and reported back to ShipStation. Once ShipStation has received notification of these charges, they will be billed to the credit card you set up for carrier fees.

NoteCurrently, shipments to Northern Ireland from the UK Mainland are not eligible for return services using Evri. |

Qualifying shipments have a standard coverage up to £20. To qualify for coverage, the shipment must weigh greater than 1kg and must not be on the list of prohibited/non-covered items.
ShipStation Refund Request
To file a claim for a lost or damaged shipment, click the following link: ShipStation Refund Request Form. Claims will only be accepted 30 days from the scheduled delivery date.
To file for a lost or damaged shipment, you will be asked to provide the following to ShipStation support:

A sales receipt or invoice indicating the cost to acquire or manufacture items lost or damaged in shipment.

A photo of the damaged items OR indication from Hermes that the parcel has been lost in shipment.

The tracking number of the label for the shipment.

The cost of the label.

The Ship From Location used to create Evri labels must be in the UK Mainland (England, Wales, or Scotland).

Weight and dimensions are required for all shipments.

Evri requires both a first name and last name in the Ship To and Ship From addresses.

Custom label messages and branding are not available for Evri shipping labels. Order Number will be printed on the label in the Reference field.

No carrier insurance is available for Evri shipments through ShipStation Carrier Services. If you'd like to add insurance to your shipments, you must purchase it from a third party.

International shipments are not available for shipments created using Evri through ShipStation Carrier Services. If you would like to use Evri for international shipping, you'll need to connect a corporate Evri account to ShipStation instead.

Evri labels cannot be voided in ShipStation.

ShipStation includes free standard coverage up to £20 for shipments that are over 1 kg and the contents of the shipment do not fall under the prohibited/non-covered items listed at the link below. The £20 coverage includes the cost of the label purchased from ShipStation.
